Why should he, WL is the way to go on CB cam revshare. CB blocks all outbound links on model profiles on the WL, so a lot less leaks than sending to main site.

outbound links aren't a problem when you plant your cookies on CB: your cookie prevails because of the "first cookie wins" rule.

+ cb branding is strong.

With the mobile watermark they confuse the user is a big leak.

She wants me to stay working, because I get good health insurance for her grand son. Plus, it's hard to turn down the $32/hr + $10/hr in my pension. Damn, yeah the cloudflare s screwing up the API calls and the embeds it looks like.

I just sent an email to support to let them know it was happening.

Hopfully they find a fix quick because my sites are going to be fucked.

There is no deprecation date for v1 yet.

v2 introduces client_ip, that will help broadcasters have more control over what visitors see depending on geo. It should have been there all along.

But to use the client ip you have to go to a hit to the api on every page load i would think.

Yes correct. It looks like v2 is returning results faster than v1 so they have taken it into account.

I haven't played with it at all yet. But if they are going to go that way that means a lot of scripts would have to change.

They would also have to give more selection parameters for some sites to do what they do now. For example if you had a site that just was doing an age range they would need a way to tell the api just records for age between startage and endage. That sort of stuff.

Hopefully they keep both versions there.

No, filtering of data was not in the original but the usage of it almost demanded either caching the xml or using a database. So filtering at our end made sense.

If they are going to go to an api call every page hit (which is the only way using the client ip properly could work imho) then we move away from caching on our end and depend on filtering on their end. Other things in there make me think that way such as the being able to request a certain number of records to skip. That would be to allow for pagination I would think.

My versions of the current usage are to pull everything into a database and then pull from there to make filtered cached files that my sites use.

I do 1 call to the api every 5 minutes and that loads out to 17 different sites, each one niched differently.

Changing that up to an api call on every page and then the filtering, etc will be a bitch and a half.

I have setup in a similar manner to you as it was far too slow to suck down on each page load.

Pros of this would be that models would no longer send us bs dmca notices, cons are the huge amount of work to adapt existing sites. However with some tweaks to how they filter this might not be a con.

Your ideas are great - skipping records for pagination, filtering results etc. If they are currently working on this, then it would be the optimal time to put in some requests.
