I think most did. Paypal had to pay the banks that issued the cards to the users you defrauded, because the users wanted their money back, and in the end, Paypal will pay the bank, and guess what .. the scammer walks away with none of his loot

I had been waiting for 6 months to withdraw my money and when I go into my account on the 178th day I see my finds have been withdrawn from 2 accounts that were frozen. Both are business verified accounts. Never had a chargeback, dispute or anything like that.

This was in the memo of each transaction. Between the 2 accounts the total amounts to $14,000

I am not sure what to do. A search on Google for "Payment to:Paypal;PayPal's damages caused by Acceptable Use Policy violation" only shows a couple of posts from a site called 'aspskins', it seems like those guys sell some sort of digital goods. I am a marketing agency that once again never had any sort of negative reviews, chargebacks or disputes, before and during the 180 days.

I can't get my head around how I would have a caused Paypal 1$ in damages let alone $14,000

There are literally hundreds to over a thousand ways we can violate PayPal's user agreement, some not even listed exactly but are related in some fashion. Not just chargebacks, claims, disputes. Since it says it's for Acceptable Use violations, it could be something you sold or your business model that's not permitted so you must look in that part of the user agreement if it applies. Weird that they'd do this and not notify you.

Since you're in the US, I suggest opening a case with bbb.org under PayPal San Jose CA to get PayPal Office of Executive Escalations to review your account.

I've had exactly the same issue with a regular paypal i set up and didn't have anything to do with any digital services.. same BS replies, they replied to my twitter rant.. but came back with the same $2500/violation..

They stole $5k from my account after 180 days.. Just incredible.. i am thinking there might be a class action that's possible or just small claims court, as they don't actually provide any information on what part of their AUP is broken.. so it's impossible to know..

Incorrect - for mainstream I use a top shelf mainstream processor at incredible rates. I don't have to give away my money and it is deposited the next day in real currency in my bank, not in funbucks held by Paypal. I guess if you are small time eccentric crank, you need to lick Paypal's ass because no mainstream processor will work with you.

I got their "we need more data" bullshit, and of course hurriedly complied, but I told the rep to kiss my ass and ask for the documentation before, then if I fail to provide it, you can hold funds. She actually said, "doing it this way increases compliance". I told them to 100% tongue juggle my nuts. It seems like people on here have no alternative, sadly, plus culturally they are used to licking the asses of the Opperhoofd or Bhurgomeister or Dibao or Batangay or whatever the village leader is called who would fuck their sister and their donkey if they didn't give him enough wheat. look I employ 20 people and do millions in sales, let me explain to you how it works: the customer gives 2 shits about your fees and your convenience...he uses the payment form that is convenient for HIM...he uses the payment form that he feels safe using that gives him the right to chargeback instantly...like Paypal...you are obviously low volume so you do not feel things like declined cards for no reason, over scrubbing, international cards not being accepted etc...you do not understand things like the importance of cascade billing and multiple payment forms...but bigger players do

nobody cares if you find paypal a bit inconvenient...I am from serbia and I had to jump through hoops to get a business account verified with Paypal...since then my sales have increased 30-40% and on days when paypal does not work or over scrubs for reasons unclear, I feel the daily drop in sales....I do 30-40 sales/day so I have significant data to meter by...I have multiple companies that compete with my own companies, just to split test approaches in marketing and user experience...I have tried everything under the sun simple because I have gimps to order my will in to existence...I have not only experimented with stuff like which specific payment processors work the best for me but also which combination yields the best return because I have sufficient data to do these measurements...

actually I was incorporated in the USA in wyoming until recently...I can get any processing I wish...also I laid out well argumented facts about why cascade billing exists...you are free to pretend like people had nothing better to do than add multiple payment processors...customers like Paypal...you offer this or you make less
