Look at the unemployment rate. The Post WWII economic boom we experienced is greater than anything anyone ever had. There were negatives like the KKK sure, but the positives outweighed the negatives. Actually, if you compare the price of things in relation to how much money people made, things are cheaper today. Sure things sound cheap back then but people also made much, much less. I won't argue the unemployment, we need to start making things over here. I'd be willing to pay a bit more knowing that we're helping people at home rather thank cheaping out buying stuff made in china.

Things are MADE cheaper these days... no one uses real sugar in soft drinks anymore, they use high fructose corn syrup, more things are made of plastic instead of wood/metals, cheap labor from overseas importing cheap goods.
