All of the file lockers have this in the TOS (we will send to authorities your Ip if you upload bad stuff) but no one really believes it. Now if people is let aware that file lockers really send their name and bank to police, it may be less likely people will use credit card there.

Other note about tube being more a damage than file lockers. Someone here forgot the torrents. I have no specific data, but I am prety sure if all file lockers are shut down at same time, people will download on torrent sites, and these live from advertising (like tubes), not being paid with paypal or visa or mastercard.

Guys, I understand everyone wants to get involved and help kill off these file lockers and make a real difference. So here's what I have planned with some help from a few supportive friends who brainstormed with me.

We're going to set up a team room like collaborative system where people may be invited to take part in the entire effort. Every user with access will be able to see progress on sites, report new sites, help deal with particular tasks to speed up killing sites and even sharing data about piracy.

The idea behind this is that more hands on deck will help speed up the process of dealing with up to a thousand infringing sites. It will also allow people to discuss methods and strategies that can't be dealt with in public.

In short, I'll be able to oversee the project while letting others get in on some of the killing!

I'm surprised this approached was overlooked for so long.

Hotfile and Filemonster gave me a "producer" account that allows me to delete our content immediately. It saves them time, it saves me lost sales, and it's a good solution. I have no reason to ever abuse it.

I wish the rest of the filelockers would do the same.

I report hundreds of Rapidgator and Oron links every week, and they remain intact for days until they get around to deleting the files, and their "affiliates" profit the whole time. They never ban the repeat offenders either, or even respond when they've been identified. It's incredibly damaging to our business.

AK, my suggestion would be - and I am sure you have this all mapped out - is dealing with the 'whack-a-mole' problem. Not payment processers per se, since those are theoreticly limited, but rather going from file lockers to torrent sites to illegal tubes to some new form of 'invitation only'/email list file-sharing network, etc.

Hitting one mole at a time just tells the other moles to run for another hole. LOL So is it possible - again, down the road, once your system and team is implemented - to setup 'divisions' that would focus on the various file sharing platforms available to downloaders?

A concerted political and media effort, simultaneous with the above, could be game-set-match for pirates. Perhaps piracy will continue via 'stand-alone mini-webs' where it's not "on the Internet" per se, these guys are clever so who knows. But if it was possibe to reduce theft by even 50% think of the improvement!!

That is only way to properly deal with pirated content.Each tube/file locker site should give content producers access to delete content.
