Calling someone a hypocrite is almost always an ad hominem fallacy. It is also specifically referred to as an ad hominem tu quoque. It is deceiving and misleading. For example, if DWB claims that smoking cigarettes is wrong, and Gozarian tries to rebut it by accusing DWB of smoking cigarettes, Gozarian has made an ad hominem tu quoque fallacy. The fact that DWB smokes cigarettes does not disprove the claim that smoking cigarettes is wrong.

Where else is he going to get his child abuse videos? Did you see the little girl getting kicked in his sig? I don't see how anyone finds that funny, nor does it belong on an adult forum.

BitShare: A Bit of Obfuscation going on. Bit suspect if you ask me!

http://stopfilelockers.com/bitshare-...if-you-ask-me/

Our review of Bitshare was quite disturbing, they make enourmous revenue and are being targeted next.

Ok calm down, this is not an attack, not being sarcastic...just wondering how do you know about their revenue, what is it based on?

If you have read the thread at all you will know by now that I do not reveal any information about our methods, strategy, evidence gathering or anything else that can let the bad guys know what we're up to. So I won't answer the question. Sorry.

Ok fair enough. Another question then, what's up with all the likes from fake Facebook profiles on your site (which doesn't load atm btw).

The moment we put Facebook widgets on the site someone bombarded us with likes , probably hoping it would cause the Facebook pages to be deleted. I have asked Facebook to fix it, but support from Facebook is like asking for support from a brick wall about how to walk through one.

They're one of the most popular within uploader communities, so I assume they make vast amounts of money from the content they upload.

I also noticed recently, they completely ignore most legal requests/notices when possible. A few companies recently tried contacting them about copyright infringement (not takedown notices but actually contacting them) and their messages were discarded without a second thought.

longdongsilver 07-09-2012 11:47 AM

for adultking.

Firstly, well done on DF and uploading.com nobody can say that's not rather impressive. If you had anything to do with mediafire then that is more than rather impressive.

2 questions

1. why is dropbox not on the hit list? can you explain the criteria that allows them to get off the hook? They have a ton of illegal material including cp and it is getting shared. They do not reward uploaders but then neither did mediafire. Is rapidshare off the radar too like dropbox? You listed drop box as a legitimate business on your website at the very start, what makes them any different to mediafire??

2. When/if you kill all the lockers off. Do you intend next to start with applying pressure to tubes to kick the full scenes they have no right to publish for free that cause such damage to the adult industry in general. Torrents, irc etc are nothing next to tubes full of full scenes, i hope that tubes are next on the list.

FoxtrotAlpha 07-09-2012 11:54 AM

I assume dropbox isn't a target because it has a 2GB limit for new accounts (without referrals), making it the worst possible choice for pirates. They would exceed the limits in a single day, so I guess they don't often use it, making it less of a target here.

I was thinking more of a story angle for mainstream media and the the many other types of legit cloud storage and backup that have VC funding. Still techcrunch would be a good outlet even without that angle. But quite willing to blind eye what it is being used for and what is being shared. I just turned a job down only last week for a major legit cloud storage and filesharing service across PC/iPhone/Laptop/iPad and lets just say it was surprising.

The ones which don't pay uploaders aren't so bad, they are professional corporations which follow the law strictly and remove all reported content. Every filehost which pays, however, should be removed indefinitely.

Banning repeat infringers is every bit as important as timely DMCA takedowns. Some of those file lockers that you maintain "aren't so bad" are in fact, just as bad.

obviously bogus page to hide the real biller, i hope they take it down soon ..uploaded.to are one of the worst and have proven very resilient over the years. They bounce back from everything thrown at them.

Well... It does not look real indeed, but that's what they're linking to for cc payments, I tried several times and it keeps sending me to that postbackurl site:

http://uploaded.to/register

I've never seen such a shady cc payment page before, guess it's time to contact Visa and send them some DMCAs so they could have no other option but to check what kind of billing company it is processing payments for the Uploaded.to client. Somehow I do not think it is compliant with Visa regs :pimp

This has to go on until processors realise they can't process for sites that can't control what on their servers.

TOS = Control what you sell or give access to.
DMCA = Can't control what's on you sell or give access to.

I am sorry I cannot provide the answers you want as the questions relate to our strategies and I do not discuss our strategies or targets prior to reporting that we have dealt with them unless there is a need to do so for strategic reasons.
