Thank you, but the ACIUF is doing fine and we are still going strong. I know a lot of people hate our guts and we went underground ;-). We are here to stay.

If the whole industry got behind him, it would mean they would all have to shut down their pirate operations. I think the silence from the "big boys" says more than we think, and the lack of support from the small guys shows how much they probably rely on the file lockers for free shit.

There have been multiple efforts over the years to gather people to fight piracy, all have failed. I was at the first ever piracy meeting in LA years ago. It was packed. That started a long line of failed attempts to get just a few guys together to fight these sites. Instead of making it work and putting in real effort, most of them figured out they could make a few peanuts per title by leasing them to tube sites, so they did exactly that.

It's pathetic really. But you are right, everyone let it happen, and continue to do so.

I'll also note, there is always anti-piracy stuff going down out of the public eye that others don't know about. A site is quietly taken offline here and there or forced into working with content owners, but no one has ever been this successful before. Not even close. It's exactly the thing many of us have been hoping for. It's just a shame 100% of the industry is not behind it.

Bzlink.us file locker just lost their only remaining payment option, Moneybookers, thanks to Removeyourcontent.com.

http://bzlink.us/?op=payments&type=&amount=

Kill them when they're still young, because dealing with older well entrenched sites that process alot of sales with the billing companies is much harder.

Dirty F 07-24-2012 10:02 AM

So how's your sales people? People buying like it's 2003 again? :1orglaugh

Adultking, notice how less and less people comment in this thread and act all excited?
It's because the majority thought that this stuff would have impact on their sales which ofcourse it won't. Now after weeks they finally figured this out and lost all interest.
Typical adult webmaster behaviour.

OMFG! I Got one more sale this month! IT HAS TO BE BECAUSE OF STOP FILE LOCKERS! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Let them enjoy their futile campaign. The reality is that I suspect anything they've done has hardly made a dent in the overall piracy numbers. They keep going after the little guys. I'll be more impressed when I see these sites 1) actually go offline 2) are bigger sites.

Truth is...these file lockers closing down will have no impact on anything at all. If they wanted to make a difference get rid of tube sites.

Is this the same 2000 Charge that attends adult trade shows and we use for processing or another entity with a similar name?

We sent XBIZ and AVN multiple e-mails with no response over the years. :(

Three.Thousand 07-24-2012 11:24 AM

if it didnt have any effect, why the fuck is everyone crying over at wjunction?
and its not about piracy, or getting sales back up, its foremost about profiting off of others work. But those who dont get it, has obviously never created anything, that has been stolen(duplicated, whatever) and made someone else money without your consent.

for all those who think its all good to do it, please go shoot a porno, or a mainstream movie, or record a track, and send a copy over to me. I'd be happy to give away your shit for free.

Actually I've seen an increase in $100 sales. Many of the people using file lockers used to be our best customers. They are often addicted to porn in general. Often they are some of the biggest fans of a particular site or niche. Over the last year a lot of links on forums have gone dead. Huge amounts of pirate content have gone offline. I believe this has encouraged some to pay again. The effect will probably increase as time goes on. People will want to feed their porn addictions.

It's hurting them. I know on a few forums 80% of the content there is now offline.

lucas131 07-24-2012 11:53 AM

very nice long and hard work, keep it up guys! :thumbsup

Triple-A 07-24-2012 01:38 PM

Great work, having just spent 1200 Quid on my latest small filmshoot nothing depresses me more than seeing it all ripped by the scum that make easy money off my hard work. Small producers like me battling to survive appreciate seeing the pirates and filelockers hurting too!

Well said. :2 cents:

It's not about "getting sales back." It's about ownership and stopping others trying to profit from something stolen from you.

And like you said, to think otherwise just clearly shows you don't create anything of value and/or have no real skin in the game. It's no longer worth even debating the topic with those types.

On that note, good night everyone. Sun is coming up on this side of the world and I can hear the monks chanting. Time for sleep.

AdultKing 07-24-2012 04:21 PM

Over night we had two generous contributions , I have sent emails thanking those contributors and would like to again thank everyone who has been able to contribute.

As for our work, we are disrupting piracy. The naysayers who like to bag our efforts merely add to our determination and resolve to keep tackling this issue.

There are those who say we are only making a dent, Stop File Lockers has only existed for 28 days. In that short time we have shut down the payment processing for file lockers, video streaming sites, resellers of piracy related services, enabling services and some forums.

Just two days ago we submitted our largest ever batch of reports to Paypal of hundreds of sites using more than 250 Paypal accounts.

We monitor several forums, WJunction is one, and what we see is that our disruptive efforts have caused mayhem in the uploader community. This is a great start because as up loaders feel they are less likely to be rewarded for their efforts then there will be less copyright content available on file lockers.

Some of what we do will never be reported or seen, we never discuss operational matters and rarely disclose targets prior to action being taken. We have a dedicated band of collaborators behind the scenes and almost anyone can get involved.

As Copy Control matures we will become even more effective. We have learned much over a less than 30 day period, we will apply what we have learned to future operations.

My suggestion to the naysayers is simple. If you think you can do better then go for it. The more people and organisations tackling this problem the better.

bumpin' before barefootsie starts huffing about virtual high fives and makes criticisms toward everyone.
He would be more constructive if he said if you can't donate or can't bother with too much time how about you go to stopfilelockers.com, register, and make some positive uplifting posts in the comments section to counter all the negative posts.
More text equals more for the SE to index and it's better to get an indication of more sane and rational arguments from people who are hurt from this theft.
Most comments are just rabid remarks from hurt upload monkeys.

No problem, just wondered if he put his money where his mouth is.

He's rich and retired so should be donating his time AND money to help them. Be better than posting walls of text no one reads.

Not at all. Just showing how gfy works and the people in this industry.
Or is it better if we all just ignore what we don't like to hear?

Speak for yourself, you`re just jealous cause someone makes a difference in the industry without being a dick. Remember the saying " Beste stuurlui staan aan wal ? "

bump!

hmm. something i read at wjunction. uploaded.to and some of the bigger sites have seemed to turn back on their PPD affiliate plans, and many uploaders are posting of getting paid by paypal etc. Some of those screenshots are crazy. Guess they're out of the hot water?

dgraves 07-25-2012 12:54 PM

If PayPal is going to process porn then they should open it up to all sites. Piss or get off the pot!
