Oh, that's just great.

This would explain why I had to report the same file five times in five consecutive days uploaded by the same user, each time supplying the md5 hash tag in the email and using md5 hash in the title like they instruct in their canned response.

Oron did that... look what happened to them! haw haw haw!

Incidentally AK, without letting the upload monkeys see what I want to post, what's the best way to inform you privately of a filelocker that is ignoring DMCAs completely and basically just taking the piss?
We'll then see if you can exert some pressure on their revenue sources.

I received the report you sent through the SFL site.

The site in question is using one of a number of third party processors we're currently talking to about the problem.

Sites which monetize infringing content without a serious effort in place to mitigate this are likely to be targeted. It's really not that difficult for a business to know whether or not it's operating within the law.

Well this is not a whitelist but it is a start.
You see what megaupload's Kim said "I do same as google", and fileshoppe or so here write he's innocent too. People in this forum may be webmasters so quite understand immediately what it is the truth about a site, but you are in the press and you should describe something like an easy way to describe who's a legal cloud storage, and maybe do a few examples why google drive is different from megaupload. 99% of humans do not know. We're the 1% of geeks who know but this is not the point.

Rapidgator are making a serious error of judgement if they think that this behaviour is without consequences. Watch this space.

I agree. We have our hands full dealing with infringing file lockers. We're not going into the business of approving sites. If you're legitimately legal then you have nothing to fear from the Stop File Lockers project.

No, it's not effective when a business has set itself up as an online fence for stolen digital content. Sites like Rapidgator are not serious cloud storage services, they're specifically designed to profit from infringing content. They're criminal operations and need to be addressed as such.

In the past few days we've successfully had 17 file lockers terminated with HiPay.

HiPay have now made the decision not to work with File Lockers.

As of now the following payment systems will not accept payments for file lockers:

Moneybookers/Skrill
HiPay
AlertPay/Payza
2CO
Paxum
CCBill

For file lockers to work with Paypal they must become an approved merchant.

Paypal have terminated relationships with payments systems:

PaymentWall
CarrotPay

I noticed today that 3xupdate has disappeared. One of the things that was unique about this website is that it said it was uploading the movies.

Pseudonymous 09-23-2012 11:53 AM

I noticed some pirates talking after I immediately took down their links:

Quote:

That said, those links sure die fast. Have you considered using some kind of link hider or DLC-container? DLC-containers are one way containers. A download program can download but you can't extract the links manually. Only the program sees the actual download links. So without a special program you can't find out the links and can't report them to the site => Links stay alive.

I use cryptload and am very happy with it. But J-Downloader is equally good. Both are freeware and truth be told, they don't just make the links safer and last longer, they make downloading a lot easier. The program downloads automatically. A pop-up appears on your screen when you have to input the next captcha and that's it. You don't have to manually click each single link, don't have to check the clock to see if the 15 minute timer is up...You just load the dlc and enter the captcha when prompted.

So if you go through the work of uploading (much appreciated and thank you), why not use something to keep the links alive longer?
I have yet to look into those pieces of software, if pirates started using something like this, would it hurt? or is there a way to still obtain the link and report?

Pseudonymous 09-23-2012 11:58 AM

If they start encrypting links, how would you obtain the link to report?

I’ve used J-downloader before. Been a while though. If I remember you can see the link with that.

Most of your big boards will not let pirates post link shortners or hidden links. Reason being is their board doesn’t get credit for the links that way and they won’t get their 5% cut. The file lockers only give the big boards 1 referrer they can send from :thumbsup

Yes, those who don't know the boards make a percentage off your content too.

no wonder nobody bothers signing up for your porn site, it's totally lame. wouldn't even bother torrenting it, it would be a waste of bandwith.

VPN isn't as hidden as you would like to believe. Most of what VPN providers promise are lies and they will give you up in a heartbeat to save their own asses.

the trick here is that they will have nothing to give up as logs never touch the harddrive on their end plus being offshore definitely gives breathing room.

I don't think you realize just exactly what vpn's are being used for, and it's definitely not just for torrenting, although over the years that's exactly their selling point, but vpn is also used for much more serious activities and the only time someone was caught was when they mistakenly thought they were using a vpn, when in fact they've been in bed with the federales.

but for arguments sake, let's consider a sleezy porn company who can't make money anymore so they go after downloaders using vpn + tor. Do you know how serious the DOJ would take them let alone even get a subopoena on the vpn providers who are offshore? Let alone when they don't have the infrastructure setup to log activities as evidence? What happens when the vpn ip is shared by hundreds, you simply have no case. Sure, it might not be impossible to prosecute but the cost/benefit ratio is not worth it, they rather go after unsuspecting Americans who doesn't even know what an IP is (which btw is a lot considering most americans can't even find their country on the map).

Robbie 09-23-2012 04:07 PM

This guy is just an example of the kind of thieving scumbags who AdultKing is taking down.

Their mommy and daddy never taught them not to steal. This clown is pathetic.

What the smart ones do is have multiple dedicated servers in the netherlands that they upload to or download from other file lockers onto. Simply through filezilla you can throw GB's of files into different directories and hold multiple FTP sessions per server. In a single night across multiple file lockers if you know what you are doing you can upload 1-2 TB. This would take time and a routine of course. There are programs that provide bulk rename and bulk md5 hash change to .rar and .zip files to spoof the file lockers (that are legitimate anyway).

Adult King as made progress. It's time to upgrade the virtual high fives into virtual blowjobs. Get on your virtual knees and pay lip service to this guy for actually getting something done.

Just another anonymous monkey. Probably the same anonymous monkey that has been here under several nicks already. They all have the same comments for a while then disappear.

i think this thread fails pretty much already. most people have already moved away from filehosts and torrent has most of the good stuff already. you can't take the higher moral ground for producing such filth that is porn. so shit on you sirs.

And now that AK has shown the way to go after their ability to make money off of our hard work...then we will follow them everywhere and shut down any attempt to monetize stolen content.

You must be a very sexually repressed and disturbed person if you find that people having sex is "filth" but nothing is wrong with STEALING.

Fuck you. You are a total clown and indicative of what is wrong in this world.

If infringing file lockers are forced into a position of only being able to accept bitcoins then I'd call that a resounding victory, because Joe Public doesn't use Bitcoins, Joe Public hasn't even heard of bitcoins.
