megashare seems to have closed & redirected to their attempt of a 'legitimate re-creation'. same old scammers and pirates behind it though.

also uload.to had their paypal closed it seems.

the big hosts seem to be finding ways to continue, usually shady payment processors nobody has ever heard of.

Those processors will be demanding more from them. The time will come to move onto them and the CC Companies.

Uploaders are in despair about Netload over at WJuntion.

Meanwhile Netload are saying they have "technical issues"


Netload are misleading their Uploaders for some reason, that Paypal error message only happens when your account is restricted.

MegaShare's new business JustCloud.com have had their Paypal account terminated tonight.

New kids on the block terabit.to have had their account terminated by Paypal.

New piracy threat ( a site which may have become a problem ) FileBand.com have had their Paypal account terminated.

Edit: FileBand.com have also had their Payza account terminated leaving them with no payment methods at this time.

Can you elaborate more on this? It appears that even though fileband.com wasn't a problem and may not have had anything to do with piracy at all that you still went ahead and targeted them? What made them a threat? Affiliate program?

I thought your goal was to target piracy...not any site which might not have anything to do with piracy now but could in the future.

Are you suggesting the files hosted by FileBand.com were all original uploaded by the rights holder ?

As per your post, they were not a problem but could have been, which is why you went after them. Had they been a problem, which would mean they contributed to piracy, then you would have clearly labelled them as such. I'm giving you the chance to clear it up.

They could have been a problem as they were gaining traction and could have become much bigger.

Gaining traction isn't really a huge deal. You've had processing for larger sites terminated. The fast they did have thousands of infractions would mean the site was a problem and not on its way to becoming one. None the less, good job, i guess.

Carrot.org an e-wallet system which used Paypal to fund e-purse accounts has been terminated by Paypal. They were happily accepting payments for FileShoppe.net and other file lockers.

We could definitely use more support.

As things stand all work is done by volunteers and our finances could be much better than they are now, we run pretty close to the bone.

This Google-hosted pirate is down for a couple of days now. It seems that pirates aren’t afraid to use even Google as a hosting company. But their choice seems to have turned against them. Pointing out to Google what kind of materials the site presents sealed the faith of this one.

Yeah, it's fairly surprising how unsophisticated some of these guys are. Some of them leave giant holes in their operations, which is good for our efforts.

When I look at the way these outfits go about their "business", it's not hard to imagine that they aren't very savvy, or into doing things like exploring details in how to close up holes in delivery, payment and every other aspect of their operations. Practically every file share and tube site is based on people that think they have found a way to make money for doing practically nothing on their own. That isn't the hall mark of someone with crazy good business sense and a drive to succeed.

What a crap PreyPal is. They love to ban oridinary guys' accounts, sometimes for filmsy reason, yet can not ban this domain from their system that has used 4 email addresses in past 48 hours.
