I believe 16 calories is correct. I’ve always calculated it that way.

Calorie is 15 but with the 4grams of sugar equaling to 16calories on top

16 cals per teaspoon
or just avoid processed sugar altogether, it's really not healthy. eat fruit and veggies instead. so odd, I can recall the caloric content of every packaged food or natural fruit/veg I have ever eaten for fat, carbs and calories and still remember every word of the Humpty Dance and Poison yet cannot manage to memorize the periodic tables. 165 grams of mango is 100 cals and less than 0.7 g's of fat, and never trust a big butt and a smile never got busy in a BK bathroom but not really on my personal bucket list so oh well. Didn't need to look up the food stuff, but beryllium? yeps :/ (Be and atomic mass 9.0122) the mind works in mysterious ways

Calorie count would make me feel like a princess. I've just stopped eating refined or natural (fruits, honey) sugar.

a life without watermelon, mango and blueberries? cannot fathom
![]() obv don't make them staples of one's diet but as a treat? or is walking to buy a watermelon and then carrying it home worse than buying one of the ice cream blizzard things in a car drive through? just fucking with ya, but yeah, fruit is NOT bad. just tasty and real food. tomatoes are a fruit as well when not in ketchup-form. everything in moderation, inlcuding moderation (Oscar Wilde)

The most disciplined person I know got to 2% body fat with a trick method tho...she loves chocolate but can not eat it while prepping for a competition...she stuffs her mouth full of chocolate and then chews it and spits it out after like 20 seconds...then rinses her mouth with water like 5x so as not to consume a single calorie from it...it works wonders for her... |

Well not exactly, thanks to all the fiber in fruit it's easier for body to deal with the sugar. Also we've been eating fruit since adam and eve, and processed sugar is a bit different thing. The work needed to make white sugar from for example beetroot is more like It's like coke leaves and cocaine.

no judgment, but that is what it is. not sure if this is still the case but eons ago when I DJ'ed in a strip club two body builder competitors (they cleaned up on cash when they worked and were really wicked chicas) whom I met that danced there confided that eating disorders are endemic in body-building, esp for women. I personally count calories as it prevents anxiety as I am neurotic as fuck, but would think any doc in the world would rec eating some watermelon or mango over the behavior you describe above. I hope your friend is safe and can create some more healthy methods of maintaining her weight. What you describe will kill her.

fruit is sweet for a reason...fructose...it makes animals want to eat the fruit and spread the seeds through their droppings...fruit is almost like a trap...if you want nutrients, veggies have more...but fruit is sweet... I think one dies at 4% if it is kept long term...2% is almost unheard of, and we are talking about her whole body average, on some parts she had less...it was just for competition, she is a fitness competitor who enjoys getting in shape for competition and after the event she returned back to around 10% and this is still very lean...2% made her face look weird...its amazing how much fat we store in our body... |

No it's not. The sugar in fruit is good for you. Like all things, it contributes to calorie counts but it's good to have fruit even when trying to lose weight.

These people demonizing sugar have been brainwashed. I even have cupcakes and ice cream. Not that I think it's good for me physically, but it's good for the mental part of staying in shape. You need to fuck up once in a while to keep the diet going long term.

One teaspoon of sugar is 15 calories and 4 grams of carbohydrates in which all 4 grams are derived from sugars. 1% of our daily value of carbs.

sugars are bad and I can explain in detail...
there are people who tolerate sugars very very well...they never get fat no matter what they eat + they work out...calories in vs. calories out always applies... also people like bodybuilders, powerlifers etc may have special performance needs, carbs may be essential for their peak performance, however the health part is disputable... so why are fruit and sugars bad? well most of the population has some extra fat and would like to get rid of it...generally speaking, there is only 1 thing that makes you fat: insulin...there is only 1 thing that significantly spikes insulin: carbs (some more, some less...protein and fat does not give you such a spike) homo sapiens was not made to spike insulin 3x/day with carbs...we have been eating like this for the last 200 years max...carbs are a CHEAP and COMMERCIAL source of energy...wheat, corn, rice, sugars, fruit...so it is only natural that the population turned to them and only natural that governments promote production...they are however bad for us because they fuck with the insulin and fat and sick homo sapiens are the proof that is in the pudding...insulin blocks leptin...leptin is the satiety hormone...it turns off hunger...blocked leptin = more hunger = more food = more insulin = blocked leptin and so on...this is why MOST people get fat... MOST people do not lose weight and fail at diets and restricting calories because of the above...you can NOT eat sugars/fruit/carbs and not have cravings...you can not stay on low cal or controlled calorie diets as easy because of the above...insulin spike = more hunger...if you have cravings you are doing something wrong... so what is the solution? = do not fuck yourself with bad carbs...do not eat fruit...avoid all fructose, avoid all bad carbs... now somebody can either show me what nutrients are in fruit that are not in veggies or they do not know what they are saying...somebody can explain in detail why sugars and bad carbs are a good idea when you can easily lose weight with keto...no huger = no problem....YES you will lose weight with calorie restricted diets, no doubt...but why take the inferior and harder approach? makes no sense at all... |

Dumbfuck serbie, plenty of vegetables have fructose, and more fructose than plenty of fruit. Ever heard of a carrot. Moreover, you fail to realize fiber in fruit and vegetables slows absorbtion.

what possible reason could you have to consume bad carbs?...you either have a great reason or there is a problem with your theory... the only carbs you should eat are green leafy veggies like kale, spinach, green salads, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, celery also asparagus and cauliflower and in moderation avocado and zuchinni...lemon is OK and so is lime...YES the above veggies do have SOME carbs but they are low and SLOW...low slow carbs = low insulin...this is not even up for discussion it is the most basic of nutritional info... Quote:
and I did not say you said that... I pointed out that berries are not the only source...we do not need berries... 100% coco chololate was not tasty for me when I first tried it...I LOVE milk chocolate...but the brain decides what is tasty and what is not...I first started with darker chololate that had say 50%-60% cacao...it was not as tasty as milk chocolate but in time my body started to ask more...I moved up to 70-80% and found it more palatable for some reason (the brain decides)...then i move to 95% because 100% is kinda hard to come by in my shit hole country...my brain decided it liked the 95% cacao version better than milk chocolate...I have not purchased milk chocolate in years, I buy dark 95% that sits right next to it... you have no choice...the brain decides.... |

Lets see your extreme ecto body. Lets see this science in motion. I do keto several times a year and have reaped the benefits of it. In fact its brought to my attention that I cant consume complex carbs through process of elimination (Extreme IBS). Simple sugars are what my body agrees with so thats what I fuel it with. I tried sticking with keto while BBing for extended periods of time but it didnt work out too well. I need those carbs for the energy source, squatting and deadlifting for hours absolutely floors me. 2 hours Pre, during, and 1hr post workout are the only times I eat carbs. |

Except that it has unprocessed sugars so your body has to burn calories to use it and it has fiber so you get full.
