Lensman's done a great job of walking the fine line between useless posters and good adviews.
Can he walk it for another 5 years? does he even want to?
I wouldn't be surprized if he lost a little interest, sold it to some dope and the new owner fucks it up.
But I also wouldn't be surprised if he still owned it and it was still #1 in 5 years.

In the early days or entire business could be run by just me, mojo, and a handful of employees. Back then we also had 2 other partners. since these guys were useless in adult, we sent them off into mainstream. They did well and opened our eyes to the posibilities. We've since shed our other partners and most of our adult stuff because of all the money coming in from mainstream
We still think about doing more adult stuff but the money isn't there. (although I do grab old friends for certain traffic intensive projects)

I'm sure you mean search123. I'm not sure what end of the search world you mean. If you mean buying traffic from SEs, I'd say, "yeah, search123 is a good place to buy." I also enjoy selling them traffic.
As far as the others go, we had bad results buying from google (of course, your results may vary) and We used to have good results with overture baqck when we were doing the cellphone thing but thats no sure bet either.
The best thing to do, as with everything else in this biz, is to test them all. what might work for me, might not work for you.

We are slowly getting more buyers of european traffic but we have such a high volume of traffic, we blow these buyers out so we still aren't there yet.

Concentrate on paysites? concentrate on getting traffic? concentrate on collecting emails? can you point me in the right direction?

you can't do it over night no matter what you do. However, I think you should go the paysite route. Content is cheap, traffic is cheaper, bandwidth is cheap. Your effort is the only thing thats valuable and that can be used how you please.

If you were coming out with a new movie site, what file types and file sizes would you have?

I see some sites that provide wmv, mpeg and .mov files, others just have one type... Some do large medium small file sizes, some do Broadband / dialup

Assorted file types can suck up space fast. But is it in turn worth it as far as keeping members happy bringing up less issues?

I'd use wmv and mpeg only with small and large file sizes. In my opinion, anything more is a waste.
