Another question, about a year ago you where talking about a GSM related program you where starting, you were also going to launch that for europe. We have a good GSM Toplist (lots of Germans) we might be able to use for that program.. any progress?

No, not a lot of progress. it seems europe doesn't pay enough to obtain new customers to make it viable. We're still looking into it, its just taking longer than expected to come up with an answer. We've also had to be fast on our feet because of the rapid changes and semi-collapse of the US market. We're seriously looking to start our own business for it. We have the model all worked out, we just need to part with about 18 mil to do it right.

12Clicks,

if you had to start a partnership program with a few paysites, what niches would they be?

I saw your earlier post about pushing a niche that you enjoy, but let's say you enjoy most of them.

I'd do Amateur I think. I know its kinda big to be a "niche" but its a good place to start. the content is easy and cheaper than alot of the other niches and there is definately an interest with the surfers. you could group your content by states and pretend they're all girl next door types. it would be a start and the rest would just present itself as you grew it.

Sleazy - would you please now shut the fuck up. This is the wrong thread for trying to start a pissing match.

12Clicks - How come I know all the answers and have managed to earn less money than when I knew nothing?

I have more sites, more traffic, more variety, better load times, near perfect coding and less $£$£$

Ok I'm going to be a newbie and ask you to explain this one.
Theoretically speaking, a program can only afford to pay out so much of its revenue to advertisers and still remain profitable.
I know there is definitely money to be made on the exit traffic, and a little bit to be made on upsells in the members areas, but there are a few programs that pay per sign up AND pay on all of the exit console sales.

So over the long term, shouldn't the money from a recurring program be the same as the income from a per sign up, all other things being equal?
And wouldn't recurring be the way to go since you yourself said earlier that very few companies will be able to stay with the per sign up model in the future?

Thats a term Electronic Cowboys have used for years, Im not sure how it began to have anything to do with Adult Webmaster status... but originally it is hacker status brother... I Laugh when I see people use it in refernce to webmasters, since "hacker" has blown up so much since my friend <a href=http://kevinmitnick.com>Kevin Mitnick</a> he hosts a computer related security talk show on a AM current at 6 Am on Sunday if anyone is in my area and cares to listen in, THEn you may be 3L33t ;)

um, yes.

I said I like recurring best. I don't quite know what your asking with ""shouldn't the money from a recurring program be the same as the income from a per sign up, all other things being equal? ""
equal to who, the webmaster? not really. you may hit a patch of surfers who don't recur for long. in that case, you're ok in persignup. what you are doing in recurring is taking the risk that the sponsor usually takes and getting the reward that they get as well with the guys who recur forever. the difference between the say, 35.00 per signup and the 50% recurring could be looked at as the VIG the house takes to share in their action.

see what I'm saying?
or did I miss your question?

horse shit - like usual.

You boast about your CCbill parties. - You say no one else's even comes close.

You insult people like crazy. I dont' think I even know of a thread where you arn't insulting someone.

You brag about how big and wonderful CCbill is. - constantly - and spam for it on here like crazy.

Basically you're full of shit and it stinks.

the only thing you consider worthwile is if someone wants to become your client. you're nothing better than a cheap whore.

Hi, just a few questions for 12 clicks, and thanks for answering btw

1.) Who in your opinion are the Top 3 recurring sponsors in terms of retention?

2.)Do you ever think any measures will ever be passed in the US
government, such as COPA that would ban ALL adult material, or would require all explicit material to be placed behind some sort of AVS?

3.)Do you think it's better to have a few large sites with A LOT of traffic (such as a high traffic TGP) , or thousands of small 3-4 page feeder sites with agressive advertising, fpa's, with the ONLY purpose of sending a surfer to a sponsor and getting traffic from SE and small link lists? I personally think the latter is MUCH better and it's worked for me quite well , but everyone these days is so caught up in "high traffic 100k tgp's" (bad traffic), so I would like to know what YOU think.

4.) Do you think it's better to send traffic directly to a sponsor or to send them to a targeted full page ad with with blurs and exits where you offer the surfer other niches of interests and "Join For Free" stuff on the last exits if he doesn't bite? Do you feel this is maximizing you traffic or is it better to get a surfer to the sponsor as quick as possible?

Thanks 12 Clicks!

why not ask him some questions that he knows the real answers to.

Like:
How do you rip off a newbie and sell traffic to them for more than it will convert for?

How do you cancel clean accounts without worring how you will sleep at night?

I forgot to add #5

Do you think the business model of thousands of small freesites still work in today's environment? I know some veteran webmasters that have 4 or 5 dedicated servers with thousands of mini feeder sites, and do well, but they started back in 97' or 98'. With SE traffic not being what it used to be back then, is this model still workable?

We've also had to be fast on our feet because of the rapid changes and semi-collapse of the US market. We're seriously looking to start our own business for it. We have the model all worked out, we just need to part with about 18 mil to do it right.
If I knew what it is/was what you are trying to accomplish, I might be able to help you out with contacts. Maybe I already participated in what you want to do here in Europe.

You lie. Plain and simple. I give credit where credit is due, and most of my posts about our CCBill parties consist of me inviting people to come to them, free of charge. Something we do for everyone at the shows, client or not.

CCBill IS a great company. We've paid on time, every time, every penny. We're a billing company, and it's unfortunate that we are great compared to the fact that other companies haven't done that. If I didn't work at CCBill I'd still think it was a good company, and if I ran paysites, you can bet they'd be getting business from me.

Once again, you're stupid. I've spent plenty of time teaching people how to build sites, increase their income, and these people don't even have paysites so they wouldn't be our clients.

And last but not least I can assure you I'm a very expensive whore.

This thread is great, a lot of useful info on a lot of subjects.. Haven't seen anything like that on GFY for some time. Btw, if someone wants more useful reading to do when this thread completely turns into a pissing match - head over to:
http://bbs.porncity.net/showthread.php?threadid=32562 (If I messed up the link find a topic by tuffruff where he mentioned $500 and prizes)
For 12clicks - I have a little project which needs a dialer access setup. Which company should I choose (for my members area)?
And please answer DarkJedi's question about traffic filtering..
Thanks, wtg

because some people won't join a site so getting paid when they use a search box or getting paid for a click on a textlink makes you money not made thru a partnership.
some people look closely at a sites T&C and cancel before they recur so these people make you money joining per signup where they wouldn't with recurring.

we've been thinking about it. it wouldn't be that difficult but we've got a lot of other things on our plate that we think would make more money sooner.
I think we will shortly have our own ppc.
our techs can't keep up with our idea men at the moment.

buy giving the surfer as many choices to buy something as possible. make your front page a list of options of niches and then each subpage keeps refining the traffic, trying to sell them all the way.

1) It's hard to be too specific about a top 3 only because personally, 2 of the recurring sponsors I use are private and don't advertise to the general webmaster pool at all so why mention them? yet they are my two best.
I think, as with any thing, you need to learn from trial and error. if you get twice as many signups with sponsor a than sponsor b but sponsor be retains 5 months and sponsor a retains 3 months, you'd still go with sponsor a.
trial and error is the bets way to learn in this business. its slow, but it pays off so much better in the long run than being told who to use.

2) no, the first amendment will always protect you. There may be times of unrest but since the 1st amendment is a liberal device, you will get support from unusual corners protecting it.

3) hehe, thats easy. I like small sites sending traffic to its sponsors. TGPs are all about traffic and not sales. the small feeder sites are only about sales. oh, and the bandwidth bill is much smaller than tgp galleries.

4)I like full page ads so you control the exits and pops. I like to work with sponsors to allow me to link my links to a duplicate front page of thiers that I serve and control and link THAT page to their join page.

Yes, it just takes more time to ramp up. there is more traffic now, just a little harder to get.
